Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation and the Modern Arab Construction Company (MAC) signed a contract for the expansion of the warehouses and administration building of the port of Mukalla in Hadhramaut Governorate.

The signing took place between Engineer Salem Ali Basamer Chairman of board of directors of YASPC , and Engineer Khaled Muhammad Al-Sakouti, General Manager of MAC, and in the presence of  Mr. Fwad Alrbaky, deputy of Chairman of YASPC and Mr. Fadi Abdullah Mahrous, Director of the Corporation’s Purchasing and Warehouses Department.

The signing of the contract comes after the selection of the (MAC) company according to Tender No. (8) for the year 2023 regarding the expansion of the warehouses and administration building of the port of Mukalla in Hadramaut Governorate, for which specialized committees were formed to analyze the technical and financial bids of the companies competing in the tender, and the (MAC) company’s bid won.

The expansion project for the warehouse administration building was one of the stalled projects for years, but the corporation, with self-financing, continued to work due to the importance of the project to the port and will contribute to the development of the port’s construction buildings. The project is expected to be completed within a year.
